Campus Happenings in December

Despite the hectic end-of-semester whirlwind of final papers and exams, Vassar is alive with events and performances this month. A cappellagroups, from Matthew’s Minstrels to the Vastards to the Night Owls, are giving their final shows, and various student art exhibits will be on display in the campus galleries. December 2 brings the Service of Lessons and Carols at the chapel, with music from the Vassar College Choir, Vassar College Women’s Chorus, Vassar College Madrigal Singers, and Cappella Festiva, as well as some seasonal readings. The Woodshed Theater Ensemble will perform Chekhov’s The Seagull the first weekend of the month, alongside Philaletheis’ theatrical interpretation of the ’80s classic film, The Breakfast Club. The full range of campus offerings is always available to peruse on the campus calendar on the InfoSite, http://info.vassar.edu.
